====== Installing Windows 10 Checklist ======

This is the process for a fresh install of Windows 10 on a customer's computer. Use a Ventoy USB hard drive with latest ISO from Microsoft; other methods of creating a bootable Windows installation disk on Linux are harder and less flexible.

  * Don't connect to the Internet during install
  * Uncheck all the boxes on the privacy page
  * Set File Explorer > View > File name extensions to on
  * Install Firefox, set as default browser https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/download/thanks/
  * Install uBlock Origin addon to Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
  * Install LibreOffice https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/?type=win-x86_64&lang=en-US
  * Download remote support tool to desktop https://helpme.netsyms.com:8008/customer/Remote%20Support-windows64-online.exe?language=en&hostname=https%3A%2F%2Fhelpme.netsyms.com%3A8008&ie=ie.exe
  * Install Thunderbird https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/#E
  * Install VLC https://www.videolan.org/
  * Hide search bar on taskbar
  * Remove tiles from start menu
